In the style of a 1940's radio drama, using a script by Phil Grecian, over 20 local and talented actors will recreate this classic story based on the movie by Frank Capra. Don't miss this touching story and seeing old fashioned sound equipment used to create live effects and elegant, and vintage costumes that will transport the audience back to a simpler time.The show is directed by Debra Grannan with Musical Direction by Craig Johnson. Costume Design is by Amanda Edgerton. The production crew includes Phil Crone as Assistant Director, David Wolk as Sound Designer, Jon Dietz as Set Designer, Mary Misertino as Stage Manager and a quick moving foley and prop crew comprised of Carole Kelly, Dot Boulia and Angela Lowden! Performances will be in the elegant Cary Town Council Chambers in downtown Cary.
The show features live piano music and a collection of original radio jingles created for show sponsors: Nowell's Contemporary Furniture, Lucky 32 and Cary Plumbing.
The Concert Singers of Cary will entertain the audience with pre-show music beginning at 7 PM on Friday, December 12.
